Ferguson-Easley Student Library Media Assistants using computer technology in the media center

Many daily library media center activities offer students opportunities to acquire basic organizational and interpersonal skills necessary in any future work environment. Using digital devices is really business as usual for the Ferguson-Easley Elementary School (FEES) student library media assistant as they go about their regular routines of scanning barcodes and using our online cataloging system, DESTINY. Being a FEES media assistant requires students to spend a vast amount of time and energy using computer technology.  They use this technology to organize resources in the media center. They, like other students, use this technology to do research for themselves and their teachers. Each day can be a digital learning day in the FEES media center.
