Two students were honored for having the highest AR points among members of the 2017 Fifth Grade ClassMrs. Hayes, the Ferguson-Easley Student Counselor, along with her committee coordinated the 2017 Fifth Grade Class’ awards celebration.  It was held in the school’s cafetorium on June 8th.  Students got a chance to celebrate with superlatives, and teachers and administrators got a chance to distribute certificates.  Even the president of the United State sent a few certificates to distribute to honor our fifth graders.  Two members of the class received recognition for their outstanding acceleration and achievement in reading and comprehension from Ms. McClellan, the school’s media coordinator.  They were Angel from Ms. Blidgen’s class and Ky’Janah from Mr. Galang’s class.  During the program special presentations were made by Miss DeAndrea Crockwell who serves as Miss UNC-Pembroke and by Mr. Mark Yarboro who represented Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.  Kindah Temple #62 provided refreshments following the awards program.  Our fifth graders are moving onward and upward with education.
