Our School Celebrates Reading and Dr. Seuss

Reading  can be electrifying especially when the author is Dr. Seuss.  Recently, to celebrate both reading and Dr. Seuss’s contributions to reading, students and family members gathered in the Ferguson-Easley Cafetorium after school to read two hardback books and one electronic book of his.  Students really cared about the academic activities that educators led them in as they rotated to the three centers of attraction focusing on “Seusstastical” stories that incorporated art, math and science. Together faculty and family had great fun too as they read stories and supported students in hands-on educational activities that provided chances for oobleck and wockets to have targeted goals impacting learning.
