Presenters helped our students to dream about numerous careers. “What do you want to be when you grow up?” is one of the most asked questions to a child.  On April 13, 2018 at Ferguson-Easley Elementary School the Career Day event was held in the school cafetorium and also on the outside grounds.  The event was planned by school counselor, Mrs. Hayes.  More than thirty presenters listened to students ask them questions like: Why did you choose this career; Did you have to go to college; How many hours do you usually work daily;  and When you were a child what did you dream of  doing. Representatives from our county were from various walks of life.  They were authors, administrators, artists, barbers,  educators, nurses, police, chefs, librarians, fire personnel, and business officials to name a few.  The event was a huge success for students, staff, parents and presenters.  Having opportunities for students to dream big is essential to motivating them to learn more.
