Each year Cumberland County Schools allows schools to participate in the Reading Rocks fundraiser.  This fundraiser supports purchases for books for the media center.

Friends of Ferguson-Easley Elementary School, please donate as much money as you would like.

Hopefully, parents and guardians will donate $5.00 per child for the Reading Rocks fundraiser.

We had a school dance for our students on Wednesday, October 16th from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Students got some refreshments and beverages after dancing for a while. They also had an opportunity to purchase additional snacks or beverages during the dance. Profit from the dance went to this fundraiser for purchasing books for the media center.

A permission form had to be submitted to the teacher for each student participating in the school dance.  Following the dance transportation had to be provided by the parent/guardian also. The permission form and donation needed to be turned in by Tuesday, October 15th in preparation for the October 16th Reading Rocks school dance.

The Committed Community Correlate for FEES was responsible for organizing this fundraiser.  They, along with other educators and volunteers, donated items and supervised the event.  Domino’s Pizza Bragg Boulevard donated pizza, the Public Works Commission donated bottled water, and families and friends donated funds.  We are especially grateful to the educators who volunteered to supervise the school dance.  We also want to thank the president of the FEES Parent Teacher Organization, Ms. M. Snells, along with Mrs. A. Williams, Mr. Z. Springer, and Mr. M. Elliott for their committed support.  The Reading Rocks school dance was successful.  Together we almost raised $500.00.

Let’s keep on keeping on.  Let’s encourage as many people as we can to donate funds for this important cause–raising money to purchase books.
