Dear Ferguson-Easley Elementary School Students, Parents, and Community:

Doctor Mary Hales, Principal of Ferguson Easley Elementary SchoolIt is with immense pleasure that we welcome you to another wonderful year of new and exciting academic and social events at Ferguson-Easley Elementary School.  Our motto for the 2018-2019 school year is “Navigating our Journey to Greatness” and our theme is “There Are No BOUNDARIES On Our Quest To Be The Best.” The faculty, Staff, and administrators are delighted to have you as an integral part of our ALL-STAR Family. The preparation of students for the 21st Century is our top priority which is why we advocate for strong parental involvement and encourage community support and participation.We are committed, as we continue our quest to become one of the best, to providing quality instruction and varied educational opportunities to ensure that students demonstrate a high level of achievement academically, socially, and personally throughout the school year. As a dedicated and knowledgeable team of educators, we regard Ferguson-Easley Elementary as an institution that is led by a set of agreed-upon and shared beliefs and we have established comprehensive and rigorous standards for the success of our students.The students attending Ferguson-Easley Elementary are very knowledgeable and our teachers are required to teach academic content in relevant, meaningful modes and to build positive relationships with all students. It has been stated that we have entered the “information age” but we prefer to believe that we have embarked upon an era of valuable ideas, diverse talent, wide-ranging creativity, and state-of-the art technology, thereby constructing a progressive generation of 21st Century Learners. In recognition of our academic growth for the 2016-2017 school year, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction presented Ferguson-Easley Elementary the North Carolina Academic Growth Award. We look forward to continuing our academic growth and we welcome you to an exciting and productive school year at Ferguson-Easley Elementary School. Together we will celebrate the accomplishments of our students, faculty, and staff with you!

Mrs. Amy McDowell is the assistant principal at FEES.Our Assistant Principal is Mrs. Amy McDowell.  She looks forward daily to leading Ferguson-Easley Elementary School and making sure that students, faculty, staff, parents, guardians, and others positively partner with her.  She welcomes the opportunity to teach and learn in the 21st Century.
