Through its strong network of volunteers and donors the American Red Cross tries to make sure that our communities are prepared for disasters.  One way they do this is by going to schools and teaching students how to handle emergencies.   Educating the public is something that the Red Cross is proud of and our school was so proud to have representatives recently from the organization to teach our students safety tips.

Becoming a good reader takes practice. Students and teachers are happy to practice the things they love and our Book Fair is the perfect place to find and choose the books they want to practice reading.  Support our Book Fair and help our students and teachers to build a collection of books in our media center.

Cumberland County Schools sign that reads, Collaborate-Compete-SucceedCCS’ Next Superintendent: Tell Us What You Think!
 
The Cumberland County Board of Education has hired the North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA) to help facilitate its search for the next superintendent of the Cumberland County Schools (CCS). The Board wants direct input from members of the community to help shape the search process and to assist in defining the qualities and characteristics desired in the next CCS’ superintendent.
