Doctor Kimberly P. Johnson is a phenomenal children’s author. She has written numerous books that often energize and inform children. Her presence on February 8th at Ferguson-Easley Elementary School was made possible by the Women’s Giving Circle of Cumberland County.  This giving circle focuses on impacting the lives of women and children by providing speakers, grants and academic resources for them.  During the morning program in the school’s cafetorium both the organization and the author donated books to the school.

Great news was recently given to two Ferguson-Easley Elementary School teachers.  Ms. Daphne Senegar and Miss Tanice Palmer, fourth-grade teachers, were notified that the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction appreciated their excellent performance during the 2016-2017 school year especially in the area of Math.  Ms. Senegar and Miss Palmer are among the top 25% of the teachers in the state based on their student growth scores. Principal, Doctor Mary Hales, announced during a school Success Day program that these two teachers’ student performance growth data were two of the highest in Cumberland County Schools.

Cumberland County Seal with the words  Cumberland County North Carolina School Health Services are provided by Cumberland County public health nurses. The public health school nurses screen vision, hearing and perform other screenings as deemed necessary. Nurse Hylton assesses Ferguson-Easley students.  Referrals may be made to the appropriate agency depending on her assessment findings. Our public health school nurse works closely with the staff of the Cumberland County Department of Public Health. Parent Teacher Organization for Ferguson-Easley Elementary School 2017-2018Parent teacher partnership is essential to the success of our school. At the November 28th Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting our leadership team installed two new members to our Executive Board.  They were the treasurer and the parliamentarian.  Our PTO is currently under the direction of the following Executive Board members: returning President, Mr. Xzia Edwards; along with Mrs. Charity Bobo-Barber, Vice President;  Mrs. Pearline Brown-Thompson, Treasurer; Ms. Teresa Hargrove, Secretary; Ms. Carie McNeill, Parliamentarian; and Ms. Eloise Melvin, Parent Facilitator (as shown from left to right in photo).  The PTO works to ensure that students at our school get to participate in various activities.

  • Official Birth Certificate
  • Student’s Social Security Card
  • Student’s Shot Record
  • Parent or Guardian’s Proof of Residence (rental/lease agreement, mortgage statement OR utility bill)
  • Last Report Card (for transferring students)
  • Kindergarten Health Assessment (for new Kindergartners)
  • Custody/Guardianship Papers if applicable

Cumberland County Schools Child Nutrition Services Logo Cumberland County Schools (CCS) Child Nutrition Services is excited to announce The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) will be offered in Ferguson-Easley Elementary School for the 2017-2018 school year. The provision will enable each student enrolled in our school to receive a breakfast and lunch at no cost on days when school is in session.  Students enrolled at our school will not have to submit a lunch application to receive meals at no cost.
